• how to turn your office into cocktail hour:

  - wear heeled shoes, for women.  men, loosen your tie and bring your overcoat.
  - dim the lights, if possible.  flourescent lights go with nothing, except examinations and pain.
  - break out your secret flask.
  - put on some chet baker.  he has the meltiest voice you have ever heard.  if his voice were fabric, it would be cashmere.
  - grab your favorite coworkers.  the cool ones.
  - lean back in your chair, and put your feet up.

  this is exactly what i want to do in my office right now.  alas, all i have is some good music, and my favorite coworkers.  this music makes me want to wear red lipstick and be part of the typing pool.
