  • i should never read work related email on the weekend.

in my job i'd much rather just do my work and go home.  this being a leader or management nonsense is for the birds.  for the stupid pigeon birds.

i just wonder if i can absorb much more condescension...

this is not going to ruin my weekend.  i've decided.

  • even if you wouldn't go through with  it, maybe you should threaten to quit?  would that help?

  • being a "good leader" means leaving work at work so that when you get there you can be angry when it helps you yell at people to get things done.  the problem with reading email at home is by the time you get to work on monday, you'll be over being pissed and probably just let it go.  nothing will be fixed, and you'll have a bad weekend.  it's a lose/lose, really."
